As this long-form video podcast interview with Jonnie from Team Super Dad beds itself down, it falls deep. And for those willing to pay it attention, that may well be a good thing.
Inner View Method
I sat in front of the camera with nothing to bring. There was stillness, space and time. And the knowing that these three were well suited partners. The resulting three minutes speak of something I’ve noticed. Something you may find useful – A human warmth and profound human connection that lives beyond all our seeming differences.
At its essence this is a summary of Inner View. It starts off with a recent Inner View class experience with Harvard Business School and then journeys headlong into the experience of awareness, and its effect on human sight.
‘… you think you have a map in your hand that’s going to guide you to where you need to go. And as you walk along you realize the map you’re holding isn’t helping. It’s somebody else’s map. It’s somebody else’s markings on it.’
From a palpable and utter stillness, it is as if the subject ‘is being spoken’. They are not speaking ‘to’ or ‘at’ the world in expectation of something in return, as is so often the case. Here, there is nowhere to hide. Here there is no need to hide. Here there is the letting go of control. The control that kept us from seeing one another.
What you seek is seeking you BUT you’re so busy looking that what is trying to find you, can’t. Know this, that there is a possibility that what might drive your entire life could be so dramatically different.
There is a palpable undercurrent in these unusual times. A sea change in consciousness. And as we’ve become more aware, movements have formed in an attempt to change this world for the good. Know this, “… if there’s truth at the heart of a movement you would do best to realize that and represent it as honestly and truthfully as you can.”
The United States of America is so obviously fractured. We talk about the symptoms believing they are the cause. But the cause of such human fracture lies deep. But what if we were to gaze deeply into the Soul of this Nation. What if we were to listen to its innermost voice. A voice that exists far beyond the ideas of right and wrong.
Inner View is a way to see and experience a deeper aspect of all people, beyond the assumptions and defenses that keep us hidden from each other. It is the way in which Soul Biographies are made. Guest lessons from the Inner View Program will appear here, and change from time to time.
‘… I need to die. I so much needed to die’. These few minutes reveal something of the human experience so beautifully elemental that it might change you and you won’t know why. The film ends ‘… I always wondered what were the tears of joy, now I know’.
