“I really don’t think I’ve done what I’ve meant to be on the earth to do yet.”

A life rarely reveals itself as a straight line.

There are experiences that shape us before we understand them. The things we build because of them. The people we love. The losses that undo what we thought we knew. And, sometimes, a question that has been waiting beneath all of it.

I spent a number of days with Jim Weiss, founder of Real Chemistry. We talked, wandered, got lost in the mysterious territory of Inner View, moving beyond the well-rehearsed story of a life into something more immediate.

What emerged was an extraordinary arc.

From a boy growing up in a small Pennsylvania town, learning about belonging and otherness, to an entrepreneur building a company around relationship, community and truth. And then the death of his wife, Audra. A loss that changed the ground beneath everything.

Somewhere inside that loss, an early knowing returned: that his life might be asking something more of him.

This Soul Biography is not really the story of what Jim has done. It is the story of what a life, looked at deeply enough, appears to have been preparing someone for all along.

And the question that remains- What will we do with the time we have?
