This is a film about the return of land to the Ute Mountain Ute people. But, as one voice in the film says, it is about far more than land.
It is about what becomes possible when people come together to do something larger than themselves.
This is a film about re-matriation. And, perhaps, about what it means to find our way back into right relationship with one another and the earth.
I made this film in conjunction with Montezuma Land Conservancy, whose work explores and enables the possibility of such a relationship with land.
